This article features an interview with Christina Battle, a Canadian artist working primarily in film, video, and installation and whose work deals with ideas such as non-official archives, our notions of evidence, environmental catastrophe, the bounds of scientific knowledge, supernatural phenomena, and collective memory. The interview discusses the aforementioned themes and her recent video installation work The Twelve Devil’s Graveyards Around the World (2013), as well as other works including Filing Memory (2010) and Explorations of an unexpected Time Traveler (2013).
