This article reviews MONOMYTHS, the performance series that launched FADO Performance Art Centre’s 2016 programme. The series examined the idea of “mono-myth” – the universal hero’s quest. The traditional narrative is deconstructed into seventeen stages transpiring over three acts, some inviting audience participation. Sanader and Cooley, mirroring the collaborative, multi-faceted nature of the series, review the series together by incorporating their conversations, notes during the performance and their personal reflections.
