Dory Nason (Anishinaabe/Chicana) is a Senior Instructor of First Nations and Indigenous Studies at the University of British Columbia. She specialized in Indigenous feminist art and activism.

This article reviews the #callresponse project, an initiative which featured a touring exhibition, website, and social media presence in an effort to encourage collaboration and community involvement regarding Indigenous sovereignty and creative discourse. The show featured five main artists: Christi Belcourt, Maria Hupfield, Ursula Johnson, Tania Willard, and Laakkuluk Williamson-Bathory, and their guest respondents Isaac Murdoch, Esther Neff, IV Castellanos, Cheryl L’Hirondelle, Marcia Crosby, and Tanya Tagaq. The article focuses on the project’s opening exhibition, which ran from October 29 to December 10, 2016, at Vancouver’s Grunt Gallery.
