Unsettling Settlers: An Interview with Golboo Amani

byFarah Yusuf

Farah Yusuf interviews artist Golboo Amani about her work “Unsettling Settlers: Intervention” which challenges the colonial narrative imposed in the board game Settlers of Catan. Amani’s strategies include an “intervention pack” for the game with add-on pieces and rules that invite the player to explore notions of allyship and critical reflection in their gameplay.
