“Thought, outside” — Craig Berggold, Marlene Creates, Kiss & Tell, Roy Kiyooka, Laiwan, Ken Lum, Melinda Mollineaux

byJaleh Mansoor

Jaleh Mansoor explores how “Thought, outside,” curated by Amy Kazymerchyk at Western Front (12 November 2020 to 30 January 2021), activates an opaque, poetic, and political problem by Maurice Blanchot: Thought of/from The Outside, which is “inherently plural, evading any static or homogenizing identity yet touching on forms of sexual, political, and economic transgression.”
