A conversation between collaborators Gabrielle L’Hirondelle Hill, Amy Kazymerchyk, Chandra Melting Tallow, and Jeneen Frei Njootli about the process of making their film Coney Island Baby at Bush Gallery. Initiated by Gabrielle L’Hirondelle Hill Coney Island Baby explores Hill’s interest in learning to trap rabbits and research on the ways in which certain types of labour become racialized, feminized, and devalued.

Jeneen Frej Njootli is a member of the self-governing Vuntut Gwitchin First Nation and a co-creator of the ReMatriate Collective. In her interdisciplinary practice, Frei Njootli’s uses media such as performance, sound and textiles.
