Curator and Art Historian Jovana Stokic gives an art historical recount of the work of Michael Portnoy, beginning with his “choreographed salon” titled “Strangergames” which was shown at MoMA PS1 in New York and moving into more contemporary projects. The works engage with games and play in unconventional ways and seek to re-imagine participatory and literary strategies.
