Louis-Philippe Savard is interested in what challenges the dominant conceptions of art. Currently an Art History master’s student at Concordia University (Tiohtià:ke/Montreal), his thesis project investigates the relationship between performance art and its documentation. Supported by a SSHRC scholarship, it aims to historicize and theorize the interplay between embodiment, archival memory, and political discourses in contemporary performance practices.
