This article discusses Report (Not Announcement): Transitionary Report on the State of Mobility at the Beginning of the 21st Century (Bak/Revolver, 2006), a compilation edited by Binna Choi. The article discusses the increasing mobility of artists today as they travel internationally from one city to another, and the effect of this on smaller local artistic communities. This centrefold features an image from Victoria Kent’s art project Staring Therapy (2007), which has been performed in Toronto at Santa Cruz club nights and on Nassau Street in Kensington Market. In 2007, 48 artists contributed Staring Therapy objects and tubes for a group exhibition at Space 1026 in Philadelphia. The issue also includes on its inside back cover a cut-out pattern for the reader to create his or her own Staring Tube.
