Please join us in-person for 18th Annual C Magazine Contemporary Art Auction at 72 Perth Avenue on Tuesday, September 20th. You can also support C Magazine by bidding in the Online Auction from September 9th to 20th.
The C Magazine auction features over 60 artworks generously donated by artists whose work reflects C Magazine‘s mandate to provide a Canadian-led forum devoted to the advancement of contemporary art. Funds raised will directly support the publication of C Magazine and the presentation of related educational programming. C Magazine commissions more than 120 artists, writers and thinkers each year, and presents the work of hundreds more.
The 2022 Gattuso Edition is generously supported by La Fondation Emmanuelle Gattuso.
Tortoise Egg by Eunice Luk is a ceramic sculpture that is formed, painted, and glazed by hand. The solid stoneware edition varies in size and shape. The work is accompanied by a printed insert that reads: “Practice of patience / terrestrial harmony / among all living creatures.”

PARTICIPATION
- Online bidding for the Live Auction artworks will end on Tuesday 20 September at 12pm ET
- Bidding on the Live Auction artworks will resume on Tuesday 20 September at 7pm ET
- If you wish to bid remotely on the Live Auction works, we would be pleased to provide a dedicated telephone bidder. To make arrangements for telephone bidding, please contact Kate before 12pm ET on 20 September, 2022
- Absentee Bidding is also available. The Auctioneer will execute bids on your behalf during the Live Auction. To place a confidential – Absentee Bid prior to the event, please contact Kate.
Charitable tax receipts are issued by C The Visual Arts Foundation (charitable no. 88643 1162) for the portion of an auction art purchase in excess of their estimated market value, and for tickets, less $50 per attendee. Participating artists will also receive a portion of the sales.
