The article focuses on the art of Canadian conceptual artist Kristiina Lahde. The article discusses her combination of readymade art and lacemaking or textile creation techniques and her use of ephemeral materials such as newspapers as well as systems of order and measurement. The article goes on to discusses Lahde’s participation in the 2011 Montreal Biennale in Montreal, Quebec which had the theme “Elements of Chance.”
